About the Job:
A well-backed aircraft leasing platform is looking to appoint a Director Risk to play a key role in developing and managing its risk function. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a strategic position with responsibility for shaping risk frameworks, governance, and oversight across the platform. It’s a unique opportunity to make a high-impact contribution to a fast-growing aviation investment business.Key Responsibilities:
Establish and enhance risk frameworks, policies, and standards.
Provide strategic risk analysis and reporting to senior leadership and the board.
Evaluate airline credit profiles and portfolio exposures.
Support transaction reviews, pricing, and risk-adjusted return assessments.
Contribute to aircraft acquisition and disposal evaluations, including financial modelling.
Monitor global aviation market trends to inform business strategy.
Oversee portfolio reviews and semi-annual valuations.
Qualifications:
Degree in finance, economics, risk management, mathematics, or a related field.
Strong background in financial modelling and data analysis.
Significant experience in risk management within aircraft leasing.
In-depth understanding of airline credit risk, aircraft economics, and portfolio management.
Excellent communication skills, with proven experience engaging at senior/board level.
