- Description
Our client is a high profile aircraft leasing company which is recruiting for a VP Trading based in Miami or Dublin.
Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive aircraft trading and portfolio management strategy in line with strategic plans.
- Managing aircraft sales, acquisitions, analysis of portfolios
- Providing and interpreting fleet technical information, formulating values and developing bid strategies
- Overseeing end-of-life strategy development (negotiating and securing aircraft/airframes/engines to trade, lease or disassemble)
- Building new and maintaining existing relationships with financial institutions, lessors, airlines investors, OEM’s, and traders
- Providing support to the transaction teams on modeling and analytics for various commercial aircraft, engines, and airframes including assisting in decisions on sales forecasts and deal financial models
- Structuring, negotiating, managing various transaction types, understanding and negotiating industry-wide acceptable lease return conditions
- Ensuring sale/purchase decisions are made with the aim of achieving company targets for growth, profitability, and performance, providing support to senior management and project work as required
Requirements
- 10 + years of experience in aircraft leasing or finance industry in a similar end-of-life VP trading role within aircraft lessor is a prerequisite
- Preferably degree level - business/finance/economics/engineering/aviation related degree
- Strong knowledge of operating lease terms, asset security issues, delivery and return conditions, aircraft model types, engines and transition process, aircraft valuation methods and market values
- Excellent track record of strong relationships with lessor and aviation investor community, structuring, negotiating and executing complex transactions
- Commercial acumen, strong analytical, pricing and investment experience, market analysis/strategy industry trends, excellent track record of structuring, negotiating and executing complex aviation finance and lease transaction transactions.
