- Description
A top-tier aircraft leasing company has retained GKR to recruit a Head of Technical, based in Dublin. This is a unique opportunity to join a market-leading aircraft leasing firm in a leadership position.
Responsibilities
- Work with the broader leadership team, to drive profitable and sustainable revenue growth.
- Lead and develop a best-in-class team of technical asset and project managers.
- Develop both short and long-term strategies to all stakeholders including shareholders, customers, employees and the wider aviation market.
- Utilise research and analysis to make recommendations to the leadership on transaction structuring and/or identifying market acquisition opportunities.
- Oversee the execution of technically astute deals that protect the asset residual value and enhance the remarketing and tradability of our aircraft portfolio.
- Develop and drive an agenda to influence and maintain the liquidity of the portfolio.
- Collaborate with the Procurement team to ensure our aircraft can deliver/transition in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Develop capabilities within the team, ensuring that all team members have challenging personal development plans in place for current and future roles and ensure that constant development activity is undertaken.
Experience
- Significant experience in a leadership position in aircraft leasing/financing, in a technical management role.
- Proven leadership and people management experience
- Ability to develop and communicate a vision that inspires and motivates the team and aligns to our business strategy.
- Wide network of contacts within the airline, leasing and MRO communities.
- In-depth understanding of the commercial aviation space, aircraft financing structures and of our competitors.
- Extensive understanding of shop floor and operational experience in aircraft maintenance.
- Proven ability to manage complex redelivery projects efficiently and effectively while maintaining a strong customer relationship focus.
- Commercial outlook with customer-centric approach to business.
- 3rd level qualification in engineering.
