About the job
My client is a growth aircraft leasing firm that has a requirement for a senior position within the company. The SVP or VP of Capital Markets will be responsible for debt origination, including management and development of key business and trading relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Origination of new debt opportunities with lessors, banks and investors.
- Establish a network of investor and banking contacts to source debt funding.
- Prepare and present materials to existing sponsors and potential capital providers as required.
- Prepare credit approvals and present debt opportunities to the relevant credit committees.
- Review the necessary loan documentation with the Legal team for approved debt transactions.
- Work with the relevant deal team to take the transactions from documentation to closing.
- Prepare deal statements for closed deals and ensure deals are properly administered.
- Liaise with all relevant parties both internal and external to ensure all ongoing reporting requirements are met and resolve all deal-related issues
- Represent the company at relevant industry events.
Requirements
- 5-10+ years’ experience in a similar role in aviation financing or leasing with a strong deal track record and reputation in funding and treasury work.
- Significant network of industry relationships to include banks.
- Strong analytical skills, and advanced Excel modeling experience.
- Good understanding of asset financing, corporate finance, liability risk, hedging, loan products, and loan agreements.
