- Description
We are recruiting for a rapid-growth leasing company that requires a Corporate Lawyer. The Corporate Lawyer will work with the General Counsel predominantly on the non-transactional, corporate side of the legal department and will be a key member of the team providing legal advice to the company.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and general support across the business, including Property leases, GDPR, ESG, and other developing legal obligations.
- Supporting the General Counsel on all legal aspects of company financing arrangements, the review and analysis of all loan agreements and other debt documentation including preparation of amendments and reports as needed.
- Monitor and advise on the company’s regulatory obligations, including sanctions compliance, and engage external counsel as required.
- Reviewing and drafting commercial agreements as required to support business operations in a global environment.
- Analysing the Company’s existing lease in agreements, summarising and reporting on as necessary.
- Identifying and resolving legal issues within the context of our client's overall business objectives.
- Provide preliminary legal support to the business regarding contract interpretation and guidance, particularly regarding disputes or other issues that may develop during the lease term.
- Provide corporate secretarial support to the company and its subsidiaries.
- Participate in a dynamic team environment with significant approval empowerment.
- Develop and manage relationships with external law firms.
- Lead and implement process improvements.
- Travel on behalf of the company, if and when required.
Requirements
- Irish/UK qualified solicitor/barrister
- Minimum 2+ years post-qualification experience in commercial practice or in-house Counsel role
- While prior experience in the areas of aviation finance is beneficial, it is not essential for the role.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills and the ability to quickly identify and prioritise issues, devise solutions and communicate effectively.
- Strong interpersonal, organisational and leadership skills; ability to work with a variety of teams
