Job Title: Aircraft Leasing VP Technical

Location: Dublin

Salary: Competitive (commensurate with experience)

Overview:

My client is a high-profile lessor that requires a VP Technical for its team in Dublin. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth management of aircraft transitions, protecting asset values, and liaising with key stakeholders including MROs and airworthiness authorities.

Responsibilities:


  • Contribute technical expertise to the negotiation of LOIs, leases, purchase agreements, and other relevant documentation, ensuring asset value is maintained and commercial interests are protected.
  • Lead aircraft transition projects, including budgeting, contractor coordination, customer and Airworthiness Authority interaction, and oversight of MRO activities.
  • Handle maintenance reserve calculations, invoicing, and claim submissions, as outlined in lease agreements, including lessor contributions.
  • Supervise third-party service providers, such as consultants, engineers, CAMO, and ferry flight operators, including budget oversight.
  • Oversee aircraft reconfigurations and maintenance projects.
  • Manage the delivery of new aircraft and coordinate major maintenance events.
  • Monitor and report on significant aircraft incidents and operational issues that impact airworthiness and the company’s business.
  • Cultivate relationships with OEMs and MROs to stay informed of industry developments.

  • Requirements:


  • Degree in aeronautical engineering or FAA/EASA licensed
  • At least 10 years experience managing aircraft transitions
  • Boeing and Airbus expertise
  • Experience negotiating lease, sale and purchase contracts.
