- Description
My client is a global leasing platform which has an opening for two Technical Directors to oversee aircraft transitions and provide high-impact technical leadership across a diverse portfolio. This is a strategic role for an experienced aviation professional who thrives in a busy, deal-driven environment and wants to contribute meaningfully to asset value, operational integrity, and commercial outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead aircraft transition projects (redelivery, repossession, acquisition, sale), ensuring timelines and budget targets are met.
- Deliver technical input to lease, sale, and purchase agreements, including LOI review and due diligence.
- Drive operational oversight during aircraft inspections, MRO visits, and redelivery processes, either remotely or on-site.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, legal, and asset management teams to resolve technical queries.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory standards across FAA and EASA jurisdictions.
- Review and approve maintenance scopes, vendor invoices, and reserve claim documentation.
Requirements
- 6+ years in aircraft transition or maintenance experience within a leasing or MRO environment.
- FAA A&P license, EASA Part 66, or relevant degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
- Deep familiarity with lease return conditions, delivery redlines, and technical clauses in lease contracts.
- Strong project management, stakeholder communication, and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
