Our client, a leading Aircraft Leasing company in Dublin, is looking for an Application Support Specialist. As the Application Support Specialist, you will help support an IT infrastructure that handles more than one billion transactions every year. What you’ll get to do:

• Work on application deployment, configuration management and automation.
• Manage high availability databases, ensuring reliability of infrastructure and services.
• Be the Subject Matter Expert on PowerShell in-house.
• Identify and automate processes to improve on efficiencies.
• Support the Service Delivery team on deployments and training.
• Interact with business users and vendors on issues, taking a pro-active approach to find solutions.

• Degree in an IT or related discipline.
• 5+ years’ information support and operations experience.
• 2+ years DevOps experience.
• Excellent PowerShell knowledge, additional scripting languages preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the MS SQL Stack.
• Knowledge of Azure, AWS, RackSpace or similar.
• Proven ability to automate complex processes in a high availability environment.
• Good understanding of security principles and ITIL.
• Experience in an outsourced environment an advantage.
• Great communication skills.
