Application Support Engineer 32 Days Holidays City Centre

We are recruiting for an Application Support Engineer for a leading Aircraft Leasing company based in Dublin city centre. The Application Support Engineer will be a dedicated and enthusiastic Engineer who will help support an IT infrastructure that handles billions of transactions every year.

Resposibilities:

• Work on application deployment, configuration management and automation.
• Manage high availability databases, ensuring reliability of infrastructure and services.
• Continuously work to identify and automate processes, improving optimisation.
• Provide training and support to the Service Delivery team.
• Be the in-house Subject Matter Expert on PowerShell.
• Be proactive in issue identification and problem solving.
• Diligently interact with business users and vendors.

• Degree in an IT or related discipline.
• 5+ years’ information support and operations experience.
• 2+ years DevOps experience.
• Strong knowledge of the MS SQL Stack.
• Knowledge of Azure, AWS, RackSpace or similar.
• Proven ability to automate complex processes in a 24/7 environment.
• Good understanding of security principles and ITIL.
• Excellent PowerShell knowledge.
• Additional scripting languages preferred but not essential.
• Great communication skills.
• Experience in an outsourced environment an advantage.
