Aviation Design Engineer (EASA Part 21) - Contract

My client is part of a major Asian Aviation Engineering, CAMO and Lease Return company.

They have recently established an operation in Dublin and are looking for an experienced Design Engineer to join the team initially on a contract basis with the opportunity to be made permanent.

  
Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the design, review and issue of design changes based on EASA Part 21 within the scope of the company’s DOA
  
  
• Design cabin interior components and cabin layout rearrangements
  
  
• Coordinate cabin interiors projects to ensure major modifications are completed as per contract obligations and delivered on time and within budget
  
  
• Prepare structural, installation and production drawings
  
  
• Create designs that meet technical and budget requirements
  
  
• Management of engineering modification documents
  
  
• Detailed review and check of designs and changes for regulatory compliance
  
  
• Represent the company with lessors and airline customers’ ensuring their requirements are fulfilled
  
  
• Liaise with production and maintenance organisations

Requirements:

• Aeronautical Engineering degree with 3+ years relevant experience in a Design Engineering environment
  
  
• Strong experience in cabin interior design and modification essential
  
  
• Extensive hands on design experience with a proven track record
  
  
• In depth knowledge of EASA/FAA regulations which include Part 21
  
  
• Solid working experience of AutoCAD and MS office products
  
  
• Ability to travel at short notice
