Senior Windows Systems Administrator - Global eCommerce Company
Our client is a global leading in eCommerce based in Dublin who are looking for a Senior Window Systems Administrator. As the Senior Windows Systems Administrator you'll focus on the implementation of security processes as part of their infrastructure team. This position would suit someone with experience in security procedures and server management at Enterprise level.
What you'll get to do:
- Be pro-active, identifying issues and taking action on anticipated problems.
- Work with configuration management tools (PowerShell) at Enterprise level.
- Write and administrate automation scripts in a Windows environment.
- Manage VMware infrastructure for clients and hosts.
- Implement security procedures and manage server security processes, working on the standardisation of operating system hardening baselines.
- Troubleshoot Firewall, Network issues.
- Collaborate with response teams on security problems to identify and minimise issues.
- Interact with Engineering and Management on technical activities at an Enterprise scale.
- Take responsibility of tickets and escalate as necessary to fulfil the SLA.
What you'll need:
- Strong experience with Windows OS and Network security at Enterprise level.
- Expert Active Directory, Network and firewall troubleshooting skills.
- Solid PowerShell scripting experience.
- Excellent knowledge of network infrastructure, architecture including; routers, switches, firewalls, load-balancers, VPN and risks associated with layers.
- Experience managing network vulnerabilities including identification, containment and recovery.
- Knowledge of Enterprise configuration tools (SCCM), VMWare and Excel.
- Ability to explain risks to technical and non-technical staff.
- Familiarity with Unix Server Administration an advantage.
This position is available on an initial 3 month contract. A competitive package is on offer.
