Aviation Part 21 Engineering Director - Shannon based

An aviation technical services client is looking for an experienced Part 21 Engineering Director to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of repair, modification and alteration activities of the company's fleet.

Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for providing engineering solutions for each transition, repossession and divestment project
  • Produce EASA Part 21 design solutions, ensuring the airworthiness of produced designs
  • Represent the company at client meetings
  • Responsible for the development and update of specifications for all new and used aircraft
  • Provide budgetary estimates to the business for all modification projects
  • Liaise with OEMs regarding technical requirements
  • Ensure regulatory airworthiness requirements are met for each project
  • Management of modification projects

  • Requirements:


  • Relevant Bachelor's degree or licenced aircraft engineer
  • Extensive knowledge of the design, repair and modification of aircraft in a management position
  • Extensive knowledge of aircraft manuals, prints, diagrams and drawings
  • Commercial acumen
  • Strong knowledge of FAA and EASA regulations
  • DOA or CVE background
  • Advanced user of computer programs, VCAD, AUTOCAD etc
  • Willingness to travel as required, to Dublin and overseas.
