Aircraft Leasing VP Tax and Accounting
We are recruiting a VP Tax and Accounting to join a newly established aircraft leasing company in Dublin.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Head Office and Senior Management team on a regular basis and provide them with accurate and up to date reports
- Preparation of annual budget and budgetary control
- Develop, maintain and improve the Company's budgeting, forecasting and business planning systems
- Preparation of management accounts and financial statements
- Management of annual audit, liaising with external auditors during the audit process to ensure all deadlines are met
- Member of the deal team providing technical accounting input into each aircraft transaction/lease agreement
- Previous process improvement experience
- Oversea accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
- Provide reports, insurance checks and any necessary contractual documentation for assets
- Responsible for structuring and implementation of both Irish and international tax provisions
- Responsibility for accurate completion and filing of all corporation tax returns and tax payments
- Provide tax support and advice to other internal departments through deal team involvement
- Ensure the most tax efficient structure is utilised in all aircraft transactions
- Take a lead in identifying tax risks within the Group
- Lead the management of tax compliance in the Group
- Manage relationships with relevant tax authorities
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years PQE experience in the aircraft leasing sector
- Strong IFRS GAAP experience
- In depth knowledge of Excel and experience using accounting programs
- Experience managing tax related matters for multiple aircraft transactions
- Qualified Accountant or tax professional
- Eligible to work in Ireland without restriction
