Aircraft Leasing Credit Risk Manager
My client, a Dublin based aircraft lessor, is currently looking for a Credit Risk Manager to lead their team of risk management professionals and oversee risk management systems and due diligence for the company's leasing activities.
Responsibilities:
- Analysing creditworthiness of potential lessees, existing lessees and potential aircraft acquisitions
- Evaluating airline business plans and operational statistics to assess creditworthiness and identify potential risks
- Analyse asset and technical risk factors associated with portfolios
- Oversee and carry out on-site visits to current / potential lessees in order to assess their finances and business plans
- Monitor credit profiles and deal with any issues arising from credit events or changes to risk profile
- Design systems to mitigate risk and resolution of distressed debt workout scenarios
- Monitor macroeconomic and regional events, advising executive teams and proposing solutions to mitigate risks from business activities
- Provide credit and market information to support transactions
- Conduct assessments of lessors as part of due diligence process
- Advise on transaction execution, participating on deal teams, presenting risk assessments for board / committee approval
- Sign off on lessee financial and credit assessments
- Design and improve processes and controls within internal risk management framework
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant
- Third level degree in a related field - Mathematics / Finance / Accounting / Economics / Computer Science / Physics
- Previous experience in a senior risk management or credit analysis position dealing with airlines and leasing companies
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
- Proficient in MS Excel and modern software tools and applications
