Aircraft Leasing AVP Legal
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a major aircraft leasing client who is looking for an AVP Legal to join their Dublin based legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing transactions from LOI to closing.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support to commercial teams on deals from LOI through to completion, including initial due diligence
- Draft, review, negotiate and comment on a wide range of transaction documents including sale and lease documents, lease restructuring and lease amendments and extensions
- Manage transaction execution processes, ensuring correct legal and tax structuring and seeing each deal through to final closing
- Liaise with tax advisers in relation to leasing and ownership structures
- Manage and co-ordinate work of external deal counsel and local counsel in diverse jurisdictions
- Draft and review maintenance arrangements, service orders and independent contractor agreements
- Review and negotiate confidentially agreements
- Liaise with customers to ensure all necessary consents for closure of financing/refinancing facilities
- Review, negotiate and document acceptable levels of insurance / comment on acceptability of Letter of Credit
- Advise company on legal issues regarding the company's aircraft leasing business and Irish subsidiary companies
- Monitor and keep up to date with any developments in laws relevant to aviation industry
Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer
- Degree in law, Juris Doctor or equivalent
- 3-5 years' experience working within the aviation industry, preferably aircraft leasing
- Experience working with aircraft lessors, operators, manufactures or in an aircraft leasing and financing practice
- Experience managing leasing, acquisitions and sales transactions from inception to closing
- Basic understanding of aircraft maintenance and technical matters
