Senior DevOps Engineer
My client a major travel management company is currently seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their team based in Dublin.
Responsibilities:
- Understanding the company's systems, code, and infrastructure
- Assisting and supervising others in maintaining development systems
- Moving key components of the dev, build and CI infrastructure to kubernetes and docker
- Manage accurate operations of key infrastructure, driving strategic improvements to ensure scalability
- Research, qualify, write, and deploy new tools and systems
Necessary Qualifications:
- Third level degree, preferably BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field
- Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Fluent in at least one statically typed, object-oriented language (such as Java, C++, or C#) and one scripting language (such as JavaScript, Perl, Ruby, or Python)
- Experience in an operations role supporting a 24/7 production environment, or ownership of personal internet-accessible servers operating 24/7
- Strong written and verbal communications in English
