Aircraft Leasing - Assistant Controller
My client, an American based Aircraft Leasing company, is currently recruiting for an Assistant Controller to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Managing the lease revenue accounting function, including the full life cycle of the aircraft leases
- Supervising the Operational Accounting group of four
- Prepare and present management reports to senior management team
- Supervise the AR process and review bank reconciliations
- Reconciliation of balances between company's contracts management system and third parties
- Liaising with the external accounting firm regarding local accounting and/or audit issues
- Provide assistance in reviewing new and amended lease documentation
- Coordinate calculations and confirmation of aircraft asset acquisitions, including valuations of lease premiums/discounts
- Calculate lease classifications
- Monitor the activity of Lease Incentive, including review of Technical analyses, preparation of amortization calculations and ensure payment activity complies with appropriate accounting
- Support the different reporting cycles by the preparation of detailed disclosures, including supporting schedules
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years' experience in a similar role, Aircraft leasing and public accounting experience is an advantage
- Third level degree in Accounting or Finance is essential
- People management experience is essential
- Qualified public accountant is desirable
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant reporting systems
