Senior DevOps Engineer (new team)
My client is a global company and they are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join their new team in Dublin city centre.
The successful candidate will lead and build new Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) pipelines in MS Azure and open source technologies.
The Role:
- Designing, building, and implementing DevOps capabilities
- Involved in deploying applications by the use of Kubernetes
- Working on applications within a private cloud environment
- Implementing and managing build cycles
- Responsible for coding or writing scripts to automate infrastructure and monitoring services in cloud technology targets as well as monitoring application performance
- Support operationally critical environment, using monitoring tools and scripts, data feeds and associated scripts, research, and analysis of production issues, capturing logging
The Person:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems
- Extensive DevOps experience
- Strong knowledge of CI / CD and CM tools including (e.g. Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
- Extensive experience with Azure IaaS, Scale sets, ARM templates, Azure automation
- Proficiency in at least 1 other language: JavaScript, Python, PHP, .Net, C#, etc.
- Working knowledge of MSSQL, including administration and performance tuning
- Implementing and managing build cycles
- Responsible for application performance monitoring
- Proficient in production systems design including High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Performance, Efficiency, and Security
