- Description
An established, global, aircraft leasing client is looking for an experienced Risk professional to join their team in the US to look after the Americas region. The position will be based out of Miami with significant travel required. The key responsibilities include understanding the risk and rewards of each transaction, ensuring risks are mitigated, and provide perspective on lessees and potential lessees.
Responsibilities:
- Manage each transaction to ensure all information is accurately vetted and approved, whilst ensuring timelines are adhered to
- Assess the credit worthiness of potential clients by developing credit score on company model and performing “Know Your Customer” checks
- Preparation of initial credit memo
- Work the internal deal team to structure transactions, managing risk function
- Monitor current customers in the Americas region
- Prepare financial reviews and credit reviews for all customers in region
- Develop strong relationships with clients and other external stakeholders
- Identify and manage “at risk” clients
- Support development of risk infrastructure, including models and processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related discipline
- Previous risk experience in the aircraft leasing or airline industry
- 5+ years risk management experience
- Fluent in English both written and verbal.
- Fluency in Spanish is an advantage
- Strong analytical mindset with good attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must be willing to travel internationally when required
