- Description
My client is a growth aircraft leasing firm which has a requirement for a VP Trading and Origination. Based in Ireland, you will be responsible for debt origination, including management and development of key business and trading relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Origination of new debt opportunities with lessors, banks and investors
- Establish a network of investor and banking contacts
- Prepare and present materials to existing sponsors and potential capital providers as required
- Prepare credit approvals and present debt opportunities to the relevant credit committees
- Review the necessary loan documentation with the lawyers for approved debt transactions
- Work with the relevant deal team to take the transactions from documentation to closing
- Prepare deal statements for closed deals and ensure the deals get properly administered
- Liaise with all relevant parties both internal and external to ensure all ongoing reporting requirements are met and resolve all deal-related issues
- Represent the company at relevant industry events
Requirements
- A minimum of five years experience in a similar role in aviation financing or leasing with a strong deal track record and reputation
- Significant network of industry relationships to include banks, lessors and OEMs
- Proven commercial, technical and legal ability to run transactions from term sheet/LOI to execution
- Strong analytical skills, advanced excel modeling experience
- Understanding of loan agreements
- Ability to multi-task and project manage multiple deals to a result while meeting tight deadlines and targets
