This senior appointment presents a unique opportunity for a forward-thinking and driven individual to lead, refine, and advance risk management strategies in the Asia Pacific area.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, guide, and enhance a top-tier team of regional portfolio risk managers.
- Actively manage the portfolio, collaborating with diverse stakeholders to increase risk-adjusted returns.
- Deliver industry-leading, consistent, and timely analyses of credit, asset, and market risks and effectively manage specific restructuring scenarios.
- Continuously update and communicate expert knowledge of the global aviation sector, addressing any emerging risk issues.
- Manage relationships with key shareholder groups and showcase risk management strengths.
- Contribute to the effective execution of a comprehensive risk governance framework in partnership with shareholders.
- Foster skill development within the regional team, establish robust personal development plans for team members and promote ongoing professional growth activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in aviation, including risk management for an aircraft lessor, airline, or aviation authority.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with the skill to craft and share a compelling vision that motivates staff and aligns with business objectives.
- Proven success in project management and reporting, with a focus on customer-oriented outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects efficiently and effectively, with a strong emphasis on maintaining robust customer relationships.
- Experienced in resolving conflicts positively and setting an example that promotes energetic and effective collaboration.
- Strong dedication to consistently meeting and exceeding objectives, along with a commitment to ongoing process improvement.
- Flexible and prepared to travel, including on short notice when necessary.
