Associate, Legal and Transactions | Aviation Finance & Leasing
A leading global aviation lessor is seeking an Associate to join its Aviation Legal team, supporting a wide range of aircraft and engine leasing, acquisition, financing, restructuring, and portfolio management activities. This opportunity offers significant exposure to sophisticated cross-border transactions and the dynamic global aviation sector.
As part of a collaborative legal and commercial team, the successful candidate will contribute across the full transaction lifecycle, from letter of intent to closing, and assist in supporting post-delivery portfolio activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support internal deal teams on aircraft and engine leasing, acquisition, financing, and disposal transactions.
- Assist in the management of documentation processes, from negotiation through closing, ensuring compliance with internal policies and timelines.
- Contribute to portfolio management activities, including lessee defaults, restructurings, repossessions, and maintenance contract matters.
- Maintain accurate records of transaction documents and ensure internal reporting systems are up to date.
- Collaborate effectively with legal, commercial, technical, and finance teams across multiple jurisdictions.
Candidate Requirements:
- 1–3 years’ experience in a transactional legal role, ideally within aviation leasing, financial services, or structured finance.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- International outlook and experience working across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Comfortable coordinating across internal and external stakeholders to support transaction execution.
