Aircraft Leasing Statutory Reporting Accountant
Our client, a global aircraft lessor in growth mode is hiring a Statutory Reporting Accountant/senior accountant to join the finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapid-growth lessor.
Key Responsibilities
- All aspects of external statutory financial reporting for the group.
- Overseeing the preparation of financial statements for the consolidated group and 180+ subsidiary entities across multiple jurisdictions
- Liaising with the external service provider with respect to timing and quality of the financial statement preparation process
- Co-ordination of all external audits
- Researching technical accounting issues under IFRS and providing technical accounting guidance in relation to emerging issues with related responsibility for implementing any proposed solutions
- Preparing written analyses of technical accounting issues to enhance the understanding of senior management
- Ensuring all statutory and debt covenant deadlines are met in a timely manner
- Evaluating financial and operational internal controls and implementing policies to ensure compliance with International Financial Accounting and Reporting Standards.
- Developing ways to meet statutory reporting objectives in a changing environment while maintaining the integrity of processes
- Monitoring the accounting policies, methodologies and treatments being applied by peer companies within the industry
Essential Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years PQE experience, ideally having trained in a large accounting practice.
- Experience of working through complex accounting issues.
- Strong IFRS GAAP experience is required.
- Previous experience of the aircraft leasing industry
