Senior Systems Administrator x2 – Global eCommerce Company, Dublin
Our client is a global leading in eCommerce based in Dublin who are looking for two Senior Systems Administrators. As the Senior Systems Administrator you’ll focus on the implementation of security processes as part of their infrastructure team in a Windows or Unix environment. This position would suit someone with experience in security procedures and server management at Enterprise level.
What you’ll get to do:- Be pro-active, identifying issues and taking action on anticipated problems.
- Work with configuration management tools (Puppet or PowerShell) at Enterprise level.
- Write and administrate automation scripts in a Unix or Windows environment.
- Manage VMware infrastructure for clients and hosts.
- Implement security procedures and manage server security processes, working on the standardisation of operating system hardening baselines.
- Troubleshoot Firewall, Network and Unix or Windows issues.
- Collaborate with response teams on security problems to identify and minimise issues.
- Interact with Engineering and Management on technical activities at an Enterprise scale.
- Take responsibility of tickets and escalate as necessary to fulfil the SLA.
- Strong experience with Unix or Windows OS and Network security at Enterprise level.
- Expert Network and firewall troubleshooting skills.
- Solid automation scripting experience in a Unix or Windows environment.
- Excellent knowledge of network infrastructure, architecture including; routers, switches, firewalls, load-balancers, VPN and risks associated with layers.
- Experience managing network vulnerabilities including identification, containment and recovery.
- Knowledge of Enterprise configuration tools (Puppet or SCCM), VMWare and Excel.
- Ability to explain risks to technical and non-technical staff.
- For Windows Systems Administrators, you’ll also require strong knowledge of Active Directory.
