Business Control Accountant
Our client, a large international organisation, is looking for a Business Control Accountant to join their Dublin-based team and play a key role in the leadership, performance and planning of a significant part of the business.
The successful candidate will thrive in a challenging and fast based environment and demonstrate excellent financial and commercial judgement particularly around the delivery of large improvement initiatives and projects.
Responsibilities:- Closely support the business as the key finance partner
- Understand, analyse and influence the business model, business drivers and financial performance
- Liaise effectively between the business management and Accounting and Reporting teams
- Support the business in the monthly review process, budgeting and forecasting
- Develop and produce insightful reports and analysis - including productivity, cost reduction and efficiency initiatives where appropriate.
- Creation of the cash forecast and involved in the production of the annual budget and long-term strategic plan
- Ensure the financial impact of investment proposals and business cases are presented effectively
- Prepare financial models to reflect changing priorities and initiatives
- Build and maintain relationships across all internal departments and stakeholders
- Conduct ad hoc projects, reviews and investigations
Requirements:- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant
- Relevant third level degree (accounting, business or finance preferred) 1+ PQE
- Experience with big ticket clients and high value assets
- Highly commercial and entrepreneurial outlook and desire to work in industry
- Advanced financial modelling and Microsoft Excel skills essential
- Strong analytical skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills (fluent in English- written and oral)
