Our client, an established and market leading food service organisation, is currently looking for a Sales & Business Development Manager to play a critical role in the identification of new opportunities and the achievement of sales targets within the South of Ireland.

Supporting and collaborating with the internal operations and working across the South, the successful candidate will aim to grow the client base and increase sales volumes in an organised and creative way.

As such, the responsibilities and duties will include:


  • Identifying new business opportunities - lead generation, cold calling, networking, trade fairs and events
  • Qualifying customers effectively - understanding their business commercially and financially
  • Selling the benefits, culture and commercial advantages of the product
  • Negotiating and agreeing on trading terms
  • Building lasting client relationships - demonstrating great integrity, dependability and commercial awareness
  • Meet and exceed targets and key performance measures - sales, volumes, credit and promotional activity.
  • Lead and direct campaigns as required
  • Monitor competitor activity and reporting
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with clients
  • Manage an effective and proactive sales plan



  • It is anticipated that applicants demonstrate the following skills, attributes and experience:


  • Must have a demonstrable track record in achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills - particularly and ability to engage with a wide array of clients
  • Must be sales oriented - motivated by targets, methodical sales plans, work at pace and represent a well-known brand
  • Possess high level of enthusiasm, energy and positive attitude
  • Good IT skills and provide detailed sales reporting
  • Ability and desire to follow through with issues and resolve problems
  • Exceptional communication and inter personal skills
  • Passion for food.



  • This is a permanent role to cover the South (can be based anywhere) and will involve daily travel to meet/visit clients.

    Basic salary to €40k p.a. with 15% bonus potential, car, phone, health, pension etc.
