Java Developer - Rapid Growth US Company
Our client is on one of the world's largest online companies who are recruiting for an experienced Java Developer. As a Java Developer you will join a team to build, upgrade and maintain connectivity for one of the world's largest websites. The ideal candidate for this position will have a broad set of web platform skills i.e. knowledge of integration using APIs over the web, and have a strong experience in coding for scale.
What you will do:- Work on scaling and supporting global operations.
- Critically analyse complex health and connectivity issues and develop effective solutions.
- Integrate systems using APIs over the web.
- Rotating on-call duty for the network connectivity support.
- Code at scale and produce high-quality code at an efficient pace.
- Contribute ideas and work collectively as part of an open and flexible team with world-class engineering talent.
- Improving and adding to system documentation for customers who inter-operate with the APIs.
- Analysing, investigating and trouble-shooting API integration features and issues.
What you need:- BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and confidence working with multifaceted systems.
- Advanced knowledge of creating complex SQL queries.
- Excellent database skills.
- Strong experience with Python, Perl and Bash.
- Expertise in Java with at least 4 years' experience of programming.
- A sound ability using Linux and its functions
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
