Aircraft Leasing VP Material Management

A global leader in the Aircraft Leasing industry is hiring a Vice President Material Management.

This is a key role in terms of managing configuration and negotiation of airframe specification options and buyer furnished equipment for forward-order aircraft.

Responsibilities


  • Manage the configuration of interior layout and airframe options for forward-order aircraft
  • Manage relationships with clients, vendors and manufacturers
  • Develop new aircraft programs
  • Work with lessees to establish configuration requirements and provide cost updates
  • Present configuration options and impacts on budgets, etc. to clients
  • Ensure client has signed off on all amendments to lease terms
  • Ensure equipment availability is in line with aircraft delivery deadlines
  • Analyse price proposals for new equipment and negotiate deals ensuring all lead times are met by suppliers
  • Negotiate General Terms Agreements with vendors
  • Management of members of the Material Management team

  • Experience


  • 3rd Level Qualification, Masters/MBA desirable
  • 10+ years of related experience in aircraft delivery program management
  • Experience at an airline, aircraft lessor, or aviation industry vendors required
  • 5+ year's people management experience
  • Knowledge of tags and certification requirements for various aircraft parts; working knowledge of Boeing and Airbus body types and interior design in relation to associated parts
  • Understanding and knowledge of airworthiness requirements (FAA / EASA / CAAC) and compliance processes
  • Knowledge of supplier industry as it applies to commercial aircraft
  • Proven track record managing key relationships with vendors and manufacturers
  • Willingness to travel essential
