Aircraft Leasing Powerplant Trading Director
A global leader in the aircraft leasing industry is looking for a Powerplant Trading Director to identify opportunities for engine exchange, sourcing used engines and supporting the sale of surplus engines.
Responsibilities:
- Source potential used/exchange or lease engines in the marketplace
- Manage the exchange or sales process by engaging relevant departments to ensure Agreements are completed
- Manage engine shop visit forecasting
- Develop strategies to optimise maintenance costs exposure on end of life assets
- Review technical engine records and documents including back to birth history for LLPs
- Provide resolution for all records queries raised by potential buyers for engines/APUs for sale
- Review of exchange material proposals including back to birth history for LLPs
- Maintain and develop relationships with MROs, OEMs and engine traders
- Assist in the negotiation of MRO agreements
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering, Aviation Management or Licensed Engineer
- 5 years' experience in engines or trading position within the aviation industry
- Previous experience with all major engine types including CFM and V2500 narrowbody engine types and GE, PW
- Knowledge of FAA and EASA regulations
- Willingness to travel at short notice
