- Description
Our client, a global aircraft lessor in growth mode is hiring an accountant to join the finance team on a 12 month FTC. Reporting to the VP Finance, the successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial accounts and financial statements. You will also assist with the management of the day to day finance function and support the management of the audit process.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and reviewing reporting for single entity accounts as well as consolidated group SPV accounts.
- Ensure IFRS compliance of all accounts.
- Manage relations with transaction parties.
- Assisting in the budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis on budgeted v actual.
- Preparation of bank reconciliations including maintenance of the bank accounts.
- Take responsibility over tax filings, hedge accounting and statutory audit process, liaising with external auditors and internal teams
- Reviewing new lease, loan and transaction agreements.
- Development of a robust financial control framework for the company.
- Assist with the tax compliance and accounts preparation of other related companies.
Essential Qualifications
- Professional accountancy qualification (ACA / ACCA)
- 1-3 years’ post-qualified experience ideally gained in financial services.
- Knowledge of IFRS, GAAP and regulatory reporting
Desirable
- Prior experience in the audit or accounting function of Aircraft Leasing or SPV entities would be a significant advantage
- Excellent proficiency of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Big 4 experience is a plus.
