- Description
We have been retained by an aircraft leasing platform to recruit their first person to set up their legal function in Ireland. This is a broad role where you will be responsible for both managing aircraft leasing transactions and corporate legal. My client is looking at portfolio acquisitions in the current market.
Responsibilities
- Review, advise on, draft, negotiate and manage the documentation of high-profile aircraft sale, aircraft purchase, aircraft financing and other corporate projects involving multiple parties in multiple jurisdictions from the pre-contractual stages through to completions.
- Provide input and expertise to cross-functional deal teams in initial transaction structuring process and in letters of intent and term sheets.
- Lead transactions through documentation phase to contract signature and closing.
- Co-ordinate and manage input from technical, finance, risk, asset management and commercial departments into transaction negotiation and documentation.
- Monitor compliance with relevant policies.
- Assist legal personnel in gathering the inputs necessary to keep the track of the aircraft financing activity.
- Manage transactions through documentation phase to contract signature and closing.
- Coordinate and manage input from credit, commercial and finance into transaction negotiation and documentation.
- Manage litigation matters and dispute resolution.
Job-specific competencies
- Minimum of six years’ aircraft leasing legal experience
- Anti-money laundering/corporate legal experience
- Strong attention to detail with an ability to work across teams efficiently
- Ability to prioritize and manage a diverse workload in international business
- Strong analytical skills and ability to propose solutions to complex legal issues
- Comfortable with cultural diversity
