- Description
Our client is a major leasing company which is looking to recruit a Head of Risk.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing the overall risk function.
- Analysis of underlying country risk issues will be an intrinsic part of portfolio and transaction risk evaluation.
- Oversee customer visits as part of deal origination and internal approval processes with responsibilities to extend to monitoring of credit risk throughout the life of the deal.
- Providing credit assessment of potential lessees, existing lessors and potential portfolio purchases.
- Ensure that transaction risks are reported and, to the greatest extent possible, recommend risk mitigation measures
- Act as the company representative regarding risk to shareholders, investors and institutions.
- Monitoring country-specific risks on a regular basis via various resources available to the Department.
- Design, implementation and continuous improvement of Internal Ratings methodology and modelling.
- General macro-economic research together with analysis of industry specific developments in the context of implications to the Company's overall business risks.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years direct aircraft leasing or aviation risk experience
- Thorough knowledge of aircraft leasing (aviation) industry is a pre-requisite
- Degree Qualified - Economics or Accountancy. Aviation related qualifications (Air Transport Management) also considered favourably.
- Leadership experience and the ability to train face to face and remotely
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
